The much anticipated environmental review document for the development of Pt. Molate has been released.  This project looks to develop a casino in one of the East Bay’s last coastal prairie/coastal strand communities and irreversibly impact one of the largest eelgrass beds in the San Francisco Bay.  EBCNPS does not believe that a casino is a solution to the problems afflicting displaced Native Americans or the City of Richmond.  We think it’s exactly the wrong plan.

And so do many other Richmond residents and community organizers.  Please read some of the great letters regarding this proposal here. (This will open a PDF file from the EIR document)
