The residents of the City of Richmond are at an important crossroads now. The Final Environmental Impact Report has been released by the developer, with the preferred alternative still listed as a casino, despite 59% of Richmond residents rejecting this proposal in the November 2010 election. EBCNPS is in the process of reviewing this massive document and helping provide decision-makers with a clear analysis of project impacts to natural resources on the invaluable Richmond shoreline.  We plan on attending the Study Session and engaging with the final steps of this CEQA process.  We hope informed and interested individuals will help analyze this document for 1) proper description of impacts, 2) proper characterization of the project area, 3) appropriate impact analysis, 4) appropriate mitigations, and 5) adherence to the CEQA guidelines as defined by the California Resource Code.
