On April 5 at 6:30pm, the Richmond City Council will hear public comments and vote on whether or not the city will continue to consider the Point Molate Casino Project.  The EBCNPS encourages the citizens of Richmond to come out and take a stand in protecting one of the city’s most valuable natural resources.  The City Council will begin hearing comments from the public at 6:30pm but as the meeting will probably have a very large attendance, it is recommended that you arrive around six in order to get your speaker’s card in on time.  Comments will be limited to one minute each, so bring a script and plan for a short and sweet statement.

Attached below are the EBCNPS’s comments regarding the Final Environmental Impact Report for this project.  EBCNPS believes this project should not be allowed due to the irreversible damage it would inflict on the sensitive natural communities of the Richmond Shoreline BPPA. The meeting will begin at 6:30pm:

Richmond Memorial Auditorium, 403 Civic Center Plaza, Richmond CA, 94084

Hope to see you there!
