Tonight’s (April 20th) Oakland Planning Commission Meeting has been postponed due to lack of a quorum (less than the minimum of four commissioners were able to attend the meeting).  The proposed amendment to the Oakland Zoo Master Plan was scheduled on the agenda for this meeting.  The zoo amendment, along with the other items of this meeting’s agenda will now be considered next Wednesday on April 27 starting at 6:00 pm in the City Council Chambers at City Hall in Oakland.  In the meantime, here is a link to the Planning Commission’s Staff Report regarding the zoo expansion and their response to public comments on the project.  We look forward to seeing anyone interested in this issue at the new April 27 meeting date.
