Native Sycamore Trees Cut Down as Part of Phase One of Project

Due to recent public outcry and protests by the Alameda Creek Alliance, Caltrans reopened the formal public comment period for phase two of the Niles Canyon road widening project.  Comments were due today, and EBCNPS submitted supplemental comments in support of the native plant resources that stand to be destroyed by this project in its current form.  The comment letter can be found here:  EBCNPS supplemental comments for Niles Canyon Road Widening DEIR
