On September 27, EBNCPS joined Save Mt. Diablo, The Greenbelt Alliance, and The East Bay Regional Park District in urging the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors to Reject the proposed “New Farm” development that is in the planning phases for the Tassajara Valley.  This unified resistance from the County’s major conservation organization will hopefully get the message across that this development is not right for the County, and should not be allowed.

Our earlier post regarding this project, and the letter we sent to the Contra Costa County Planning Department during the scoping process can be found here:  “New Farm” Development Threatens Tassajara Valley.

The Greenbelt Alliance and Save Mt. Diablo have also released a summary of the legal issues with this project which can be viewed here:  New Farm Analysis summary 9_23_11
