The Steering Committee for the 2012 CNPS Conservation Conference has been meeting over the past half-year in order to establish the framework for the next conference.  The 2009 event was a great success where 200 superlative presenters, 130 outstanding posters, and 850 enthusiastic attendees from 16 states and 3 foreign countries helped make our conference a great success.  Most instrumental to this success was the over one hundred volunteers that made it all possible.

Currently we are recruiting volunteers and help for the 2012 Conservation Conference, which is planned for January of 2012.  If you’re at all interested in volunteering please let Josie Crawford at State CNPS know!  The conference will be held in Southern California in 2012.

Conference dates:

Saturday, Sunday and Monday January 14, 15 and 16, 2012.

Conference workshop dates:

Tuesday and Wednesday, January 17 and 18, 2012.

Here’s what some of the attendees had to say about the 2009 conference.
